2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Help w/ AC.

I recently did the ATS wiring mod https://www.atsdiesel.com/PDF/120505/4th hunt 46 47 RE.pdf to eliminate my gear hunt problem. I had also replaced the brake light switch near the brake pedal first in hopes of eliminating the gear hunt. My gear hunt seems to be gone but now the AC does not work properly. It seems to cycle the condenser on and off giving me some cold air ending up cooling the cab only marginally.

The AC problem is un-related.

Add a can (or 2) of refrigerant. The low-pressure saftey switch is cutting out the compressor to prevent damage.

Thanks. What kind of refridgerant and where to get it?

R134a
It is on sale now (I checked today) at WalMart.
They also have kits that include a hose, gauge, instructions, etc.

Don't put in too much freon, if there is too much in the system it won't get very cold.

Put about 3/4 of a 18oz can in yesterday and it cold and stopped cycling. Thanks for all the help.
