Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Trouble on way to Work

According to the directions #16 - #18. Installing the Boost Elbow. I cannot find the fitting referenced in the intructions. Actully I think I found it but it leads to a vaccum canister of some sort. I think I also read here on the board that if you have an auto transmission that this part of the install couldn't be performed. It only applies to manuals. I have an auto btw. Also I am under the assumtion that I can hook this up w/o connecting the pump wire. TIA

you have what is known as a hardline wastegate, no elbow for you :( and yes the comp can be run in the ez mode with no pump wire attached

Well I'm having some problems. After hooking everything up except for the pump wire and the elbow my truck runs slow and the comp box lights up but I can't turn it off or make any adjustments. I also get a check engine light. Checking the codes w/ a scanner they all seem to be boost related codes. The only ones I can remember is 238 and 236. I cleared the codes and tried again and the check engine light came right back on. I cleared the codes and removed the connectors and everything is back to normal (stock). Do I need to call up Edge or email them?

So even if I don't tap the pump wire I still need to hook the negative ground in? I guess that would make sense. I did think about that but just figured that it didn't need to be attached since I didn't tap the pump. Thanks.

I moved my ground to the small screw on the left front fender where the smaller gauge wire directly from the battery ground attaches. It made my issues go away.

Yep that's what I did

I hate to be a grinch - I really do - but the above is EXACTLY why I hate long-distance troubleshooting!

Frequently minimal info as to the problem is provided, so we end up pretty much shooting in the dark, when the actual problem is glaringly simple if you were standing there looking at it...

I really DO want to help, but sometimes it gets sorta discouraging - yeah, I know, if it bothers me, just don't participate...

C'mon guys help US help YOU! ;)

Sorry for being such a newbie. I did hook up the ground and everything appears fine and normal. Thanks for all the help.

Now to pierce the the pump wire or not.

Yes. I most likely will tap the wire. :D

Even w/ the comp box turned off the throttle response seems quicker. Just my imagination? It also seems to idle a bit higher. What is stock Idle?
