I'm currently having warranty issues with my dad's 03 Ram with 62,000 miles with an in service date of 12/02. I took the truck in for a oil leak on the front timing cover which the dealer fixed. I thought that the work would be covered under the Cummins engine warranty and not the Powertrain warranty. After arguing with the service advisor to no avail I paid the $100. 00 deductible and called daimlerchrysler customer service at which time I was told it should of been covered under the Cummins engine warranty with no deductible because my truck has been in use for less than 5 years. I was told to submit my receipt for reimbursement. I just received a call from DailmyerChrysler customer service and they told me I'm not going to get the $100. 00 deductible back because it was valid and applicable under the powertrain warranty. The representative told me the cummins warranty only applies to internal lubrication. I told her it explicitly states timing cover seals in the engine warranty.
Does anyone know what I can tell them or who I can contact to get this resolved??
Thanks,
Joe
