HELP WITH A PILLER COVER

Can anyone tell me how to get my piller cover off on my a piller on my 2000 dodge so I can install my gauge pod.

If it is a full cover,I left mine in place. Ran the wires up between the pillar and the dash, between the cover and the pod-cover, held it in place, drilled the holes and pushed in the clips, done.
OOPS! Forgot you have the Tweeter.

Alpenlite,

You have to pull it STRAIGHT out. Straight as if you are trying to reach thru the drivers side window. The clips hang onto the a-pillar clips like fish hooks. Its easy to break it. Yours may be a little different than mine. Revised clips ect. Ypu may want to leave it in place. If you have to remove it. Try to be gentle. I broke mine trying.

Be careful, if you break one with tweeters it will cost you. Dodge wants about $125.

Randy, Anything unique about the A-pillar with tweeter other than its high price? I want to put gauges in my A-pillar and I've got the tweeter. Beyond "Be Careful" is there anything else I should be thinking about?

I got mine out no problem. Just be careful I started at the top pulling straight out and down (like pulling a lever). The pillar cover kinda hangs on at the bottom just rock it gently back and forth while pulling it upward towart the roof. Unhook the tweeter connector and your done.

Alpenlite: There is something else you might consider: How about LED's wired to the secondary side of the toaster relays to indicate when the grids are on. They cycle back and forth as the engine warms up and is an indication that the toaster relays are working. I mounted them in the A pillar cover, used yellow and they are neat.
