I have a 2015 3500 SRW CCSB with the Aisin transmission. After 1300 miles, I love the truck and the transmission seems to shift firmly except when shifting from 3rd to 4th. It seems as if it's not sure it should shift. The problem is less pronounced when I pour on the coal but during reasonable driving it is a prolonged and aggravating shift from 3rd to 4th. This holds true in tow/haul mode as well. Is this normal?
Secondly, the transmission has a pronounced whine when not under acceleration. It is very noticeable when descending a hill and goes away if I shift into neutral. This is true even if I maintain engine rpms while in neutral. Is this normal?
Thanks for any help.
