Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Help with Code PO238

Can someone tell me what to do to fix this code, the engine lite stays on and it shows code PO238. something to do with the map sensor I think ? Mark

It is turbocharger boost pressure sensor high

It’s probably the MAP sensor, but the only way to know for sure would be to measure the boost pressure (with a gauge) and compare that to the pressure being reported by the ECM over the OBDII port using an appropriate code scanner.



The simplest thing to do is to swap out the MAP sensor and see what happens. If that doesn't solve the problem, well at least you have spare MAP sensor.
