Help with exhaust???

I'm looking at installing a dual system from DPPI. Can anyone help me with the best possible fit. I hear the words DRONE ect. Dont want that. Device called Areo Turbine? What does this do? What parts are needed from the turbo back for a good sounding system. Any help will be appreciated... ... ... ... ... ... ..... Thanks

The drone thing is a pretty wierd deal. Some trucks have it the next doesn't. What I have come up with is the diesel truck owner that is on their 2nd or 3rd truck doesn't seem to ever have it. The 1st time owner in a common rail truck seems to notice it as they have an extremely quiet truck and anything just really sounds loud to them. The guys that have had 12 or 24 valve truck for a while and traded to a common rail never seem to "hear" anything. Not picking on anyone about their truck or what they think they hear, it's just info I have put together over the last 3 or so years since the common rails have been available from customer information etc.

Sorry I forgot to mention that the truck is a 2003 305/555. thanks just need to know the parts need to make this thing sound throaty with out being overwhelming at highway speeds... ... ... ... ... ... . thanks

Just get you a good packed, louverd, straight through muffler and be done with it. Hang it all on rubber hangers so it's not rubbing on the truck and you should be fine. I don't hear mine at all until I roll the windows down

I have the duals on my truck and sounds clean, not much louder than stock until I dial up the TST box then as more fuel dumps WELL more sound but it just keeps sounding better.

I had single exhaust ( Banks) before duals and it was louder and had little drone so I was surprised when duals were quieter

Daytripper, who makes the duals you have on your truck? Are there any other mods done to the exhaust? photos?

I just installed my MBRP with cat eliminator system last night, had to break out the recipricating saw to remove it though pain in the. I wished I would have gotten the duals but they dont have them for my truck yet, they offer them on 4Xs. My exhaust sounds really throaty at the begining but when I jump on the freeway the exhaust is quiet let me tell yeah, you might like this system. You can hear alot of air at idle because the cat is gone and straight muffler, I like it. I think there is an exhaust called streamline out there that offers the duals, Ill get you the link later.
