Hi everyone. I just picked up my truck from dealer. I had them check on an oily residue I've been getting under my brake pedal area. They said the hydroboost is bad and I need a new one. Somehow they said it's the power steering hydroboost being bad. Now, I'm not sure what exactly the problem is and how serious it is, but the estimate is more than a $ 1000, so I need your help here. Please let me know if you've seen this before. My brake pedal feels good. Thanks . Ilian

I replaced my OE hydro-boost for inspection reasons when I bought the old truck. Everything worked fine but the seal had started to leak which caused a slight leak on the inside of the firewall. I believe I paid 289 from Napa and the 1st one was faulty and would cause brake application when turning the steering and the PS pressure would rise. 2nd one was fine. 1 year warranty on it with napa.
