I have decided to purchase a Di Pricol oil pressure gauge to match my boost and EGT gauges. I know there is a plug in the top of the oil filter housing but I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on drilling and tapping the plug so I don't mess up the install.

I know some of y'all have done this so any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

no drilling or tapping necessary. the plug on top of the filter pad is a 1/8" NPT plug. remove it and install your pressure hose/pressure sensor...

i used an 18" grease gun hose section to remove mount my pressure transducer for my electric gauge...

WOW! Looks like this is something even I can do!! Thanks, I am gonna get the gauge ordered and get it installed.

Thanks, I appreciate the help!!

I'd like the Di Pricol oil pressure gauge too, where did you find it?? Geno's Garage said they don't have it yet.

Does Dipricol make an electric oil pressure guage... or... .

can you use an "isolater" with thier mechanical guage?

I don't want to run "live" oil into the cab. I had a

big mess in a CJ5 in my earlier life.

A few buds of mine myself included also sleeved the pressure tube with 1/4" I. D. clear tubing, just like what coms with the gauge to protect it from vibration. Something to consider. Also wrapped it in black split loom and ran it accordingly, the split loom was just so it looked good in the engine compartment.
