OK my intercooler finally blew the plastic side off. I have a banks technicooler that should be delivered to me this afternoon. I am by no means a mechanic but I did my muffler and juice by myself so I thought I could do this too.

Anyway the bumper is off and out of the way. my question is what do I do with the raidiator that Is in front of the intercooler? Which I am assuming is a condensor for the A/C. Can I disconnect it or should I brace it in some method and slide the intercooler behind it?

Oh and why is My american truck built with metric parts?

When I installed the body lift on my truck i had to remove the intercooler. I did not discharge the a/c. use rubber bungy cords to hold the condensor out of the way. wrap the condensor with towels so it does not get damaged and watch the lines so they do not have a bunch of tension/stress on them. very easy to do so don't get worried.

yep, what CBrahs said, use some bungee cords or a buddy to hold the AC condenser, etc out of the way, and then simply slip the other intercooler in.

hope this helps

Sorry, to give you the bad news, but you don't need to remove the bumper. I did mine by myself in about two hours. Like everyone else has said, just bungee the a/c condensor out of the way

as far as the metric parts, welcome to the club. made in mexico!!

as for metric, welcome to the rest of the world...

the part that dc did real stupid, is not going 100% metric on the vehicles when they started to switch over. . mixed metric and sae is a joke

Did anyone have problems with HOOD closing after swap ?

I have the BD intercooler, and I didn't have any trouble closing the hood. It's a very tight fit now. I wish it wasn't so tight because I want to switch to a billet grill, and I don't think I'll have the room to do it.
