I just installed a II Super Phat Shaft 66 turbo in my truck saturday. The installation went pretty smooth; however, when I started the truck and tried to drive it, it acted like it had no power at all, and was missing. The truck was also puffing white smoke out the tailpipe. There were no instructions on what to do with the 2-wire electrical connection that I unplugged from the stock turbo. I presume the truck is not fueling due to not seeing boost from this sensor? Can I simply short these two leads together? Thanks for any help!
BTW, for those installing an SPS turbo on a truck with a Jacobs Exhaust Brake, there is not enough clearance for the brake's vacuum pod when you position the exhaust to connect to the turbo. I cut out the insulation on the firewall, and enlarged one of the holes on the vacuum pod's mounting bracket, but the pod is still touching the firewall. I'll figure out something tonight...
