Archived Help with P codes

I have my first '05 diesel, 3. 73 automatic.



My malfunction indicator light came on and I got codes

P2607 Intake Air Heater Relay 2 Low

and P0071 - Ambient Temp Sensor performance/rationality.



Can anyone tell me if these are serious? I am 2000 miles from home, towing a 13k trailer. Is my truck about to "die"?



I am totally lost. PLease advise.

Sounds like a sensor or intake heater relay problem - if the truck is still running OK, I wouldn't worry about it - but if you can, check the connections to the grid heater relays, and the plug to the air sensor.

I don't mean to sound like an idiot - but I don't have a clue how to do those ideas.
