well i wanna get injectors but there are sooo many and ive heard all diff things and which ones to buy, so i fig id start a thread and see what majority says is the best. I need ones that are good for eveyday driving, towing. my buddy has the DD2s and im at a loss. I may in the future add a second turbo so i dunno if there is an injector that is good for now and in the future any help would be greatly appreciated :-laf
 
I'll second the F1 Mach 1. 6. These are great everyday driving injectors and more than enough fuel for towing. They are supposed to be worth 90 HP to the wheels on an HO truck. Coming from RV275s, I don't doubt it. Anything more and towing EGT becomes quite bothersome. With these, you still have to manage towing EGT with your right foot... and some boost fooling. Your sig says Edge programmer. Is that an Evolution? Do you have a boost elbow on your turbo?
 
I had Mach 1. 6's w/stock turbo and egts would go to 14-1500 on 5/5 they were very clean and mileage improved along w/performance. I did 387h/722 tq with that set up. I sold the 1. 6's for $450 with the stock sticks sent to me. So not only did I get good use but the buyer got a good deal. Of course (see signature) once you find a good product and company that stands behind their product why change. I borrowed a set of Jammer 3's (100 hp) from a friend while I was waiting for stock sticks to be shipped from buyer of 1. 6's and I must say they were not as smooth, dirty and not anymore power. I'm really lovin the 5s and the QD 64/14, egts neve get over 1450 WOT on 5/5. I watched the egt while on the dyno and like I said never above 1450 - you get what you pay for. Do it right the first time and never look back. MHO
 
thats what i wanna do . i wanna do it right and i also dont mind spending the money as long as i can do it once. Survey says mach 1. 6s looks like what about if i upgrade to twins are they still ok?
 
You must have the edge comp if it's in the cab 40-60-80-100-120hp the boost elbow goes in the front of your HX-35 it's brass elbow that feeds the rubber line going to wastegate. later auto trucks have a HY-35 with a steel line must use a J-hook to hold back on the wastegate arm.

i just finally got my injectors after months of harassing I. I. for them after i paid pretty good coin. have yet to install them. the company is supposedly has a great product and great customer service. I have talked to them on the phone in the past. I just had a problem with cody the injector guy on my first purchase from I. I. takin so long to send my stuff after i was qoute 3 weeks and waited 2 months. we'll see how nice they work and i lernt after wade over at ngm diesel woulda been cheaper and had the parts in only a few days. so my next purchases will be from wade
 
I know there are no stupid questions but the boost elbow that comes w the edge , do i have to put tht in my bd turbo or is the elbow in tht when i recieved it ok :-laf and i guess survey says 1. 6 guess i know what im buying tomorrow
 
I have the F1 1. 6 injectors and rarely get egt's above 1000 degrees. I turn off my Edge Comp box and just use my Smarty for towing. Pulling 15,000 lbs is easy. I'm making 452HP and 902TQ before the meth is turned on.

Pardon my lack of knowledge but you can help me. Check sig for truck upgrades. I am pleased with stock injectors, and the Edge really produces smoke in any of the settings (evenwith fueling set to low smoke) so the SHO VP44 may be at the limit of the stock injectors. I so not know how close they are to peaking duty cycle (at least that is what my turbo gas engines depend on). If I change to FI 1. 6 doesn't mileage drop significantly? How do you tell what size to use as others talk about 1. 5 injectors. I tow a race trailer that probalby weighs loaded at 8500 pounds. Transmission temps are my biggest concern and saving an expensive new rebuilt NV5600

my boost is in high 30's . i was only wondering if i had to sub that in for the one on the turbo. olee do you have them in stock. Also i think i posted how i might wanna do a twin at one point i assume id have to upgrade the injectors. Just let me know and then ill prob give u a jingle to order sum up
