Dodge 5. 9L Cummins Diesels
To ease installation of the BMK11 in 2004 and later model Dodge pickups equipped with the 5. 9L Cummins diesel engine, AMSOIL offers the new 1/8" NPT - 1/4" JIC fitting (BP241), the Aluminum Billet Oil Fill Cap for Dodge 5. 9L Cummins diesels (BK1301) and the 90-degree JIC Elbow (BP242). The BP241 fits onto the existing plug on top of the OEM full-flow filter mount, and the addition of the BK1301 eases the installation of the oil return line.
  1. EABP100 Absolute Efficiency By-Pass: (1) 8-inch filter $37. 65
  2. BK1301 Aluminum Oil Fill Cap Cummins $66. 70
  3. BMK11 By-Pass Filter Mounting Kit - 1 by-pass filter mount kit 174. 00
  4. BP241 1/8" NPT - 1/4" JIC SS Adapter $9. 15
  5. BP242 90 Deg elbow 1/8 NPT X1/4 JIC $4. 70

The web sight requires a lot of navigation and part # searches although the online instructions make it better than a lot of sites. Can someone who knows, look at this list and let me know if it is correct, if I need to add anything or general pointers on install?

Number 4 (BP241) is included with the BMK-11 now. Got mine last Friday. I had ordered the BP241 separately, and it came in a box by itself, plus there was one in the BMK-11 box.

I mount them to the Passenger side body mount. It is hidden behind the fender liner but is still easy to get to for filter changes.

The BK1301 Billet cap comes with the swivel installed. All you need to do the install on the Body mount is the EABP100, BMK11, BK1301. Everything else is included in the kit.
A 45* 1/8 npt to 1/4 JIC elbow can make a cleaner install than using a 90* included in kit, depending on how you want to route your lines.

These pictures are off a Customer's 06 megacab. The clearance should be the same on any 3rd gen.

This is exactly where I mount ALL of my BMK-11's on Customers trucks.

THE "SWIVEL" fitting does come installed on the anodized oil fill cap!

Hmmm, that must be a special customer thing then... I know someone posted on BITOG that the Amsoil cap didn't come with the swivel fitting, and that was a dealer that posted that info.

Just don't be surprised if it doesn't have it.

You have everything thing that you need. The swivel does come with the oil cap. It is an easy install the hardest part is finding a location. you will be very pleased it is high quality. Keep in mind you have three choices for filter size so that may help in your location you choose. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with. Good luck PM me if you woul like pics of my install.
