I received my turbo sock and manifold blanket from Levi at Turbo Performance Products. The instructions for installing the manifold blanket call for taking off the heat shield. I could not get to one of the 4 nuts holding the heat shield on, and I contacted Levi and he said I could install over the heat shield, which I did, but am not completely happy with the install and would really like to take off the heat shield. So I need help. My problem is that of the 4 nuts holding it on, I can easily get to the front two (closest to the radiator) top and bottom, and the top nut of the other pair (towards the firewall), but cannot get a socket into available opening for the bottom rear one. There is a metal tube blocking access- not sure what it is - water line? Can I unbolt that from somewhere and move it a bit? Help!

Also, at the back (firewall side) of the manifold there is another rigid/steel tube that seems to be secured by a bracket bolted to the engine block - what is this and can I move it out of the way if I unbolt the bracket?

Thanks in advance for the help. Truck is a 2006 5.9L, turbo and manifold are stock.

The metal tube is the coolant supply to the heat exchanger. It should have a rubber hose at each end so if you can get it loose you can move it. I want to say there is a anothe rmounting tab on the other side of the engine that way cause you issues moving it.
