Help with signarure??

All right, I give up. What is the trick for changing font color etc in the signature. I can do it in my <font color=red>message</font>, but can't seem to get it done in my signature.

Craig,the TDR server won't let you store colors or graphics in your sig,you need to store them on your own computer. Bryan has a trick way to store sigs. or you can store it on your desktop or even a deleted e-mail. If you edit your post and and resubmit it without any changes it will work,look

I would suggest you change to green,looks better <font color=green>Forest Green Pearl</font> Cool color BTW.

illflem is correct about the html tags and image tags in your signature. In bold is the text that appears next to the signature text box on the profile page.

Signature
Note: The Signature feature is currently enabled by this bulletin board's administrator. You may use UBB Code in this field, but not HTML. The UBB Code Image tag is not permitted, however.


If you add an image or any html tags to your signature, you can do the edit, resubmit thing no big deal. If you want to eliminate the "edited by" line that is created by this procedure, you may use the little program I have to store your signature on your own hard drive. That is how I do mine. I added the string of dashes to my signature so it looks as if my signature were created the same way as everyone elses.

If you would like a nice chart of RGB colors, you can see one here.

To the best of my knowledge, it is best to use the hex value of the color rather than the color name. For example, the second color on the chart stated above is BlueViolet. To use the hex value, your font tag should look like this:

&lt;font color=#8A2BE2&gt;<font color=#8A2BE2>Whatever text you want to be BlueViolet</font><font color=#000000>&lt;/font&gt;

You should include the # sign before the hex value.

Yea, I know it is long. I guess you could say it's fortuate that I rarely show it. It's not the color that makes it long though, it is the links I provide for everything. I should take a little time and make another signature, I have room for 3 here and one on the TDR. #ad
Maybe I'll make a plain signature, one with font color, and one with font color and links. That should cover my bases. #ad
