help with timing

my motor is apart and i need to get the timming set two of my friends are certified diesel techs but neither have worked on these pumps before and I need to get my motor timed so i can get it painted and back in the truck if anyone could give me detailed instructions and what special tools i need to get and where to get them it would be much appericated please help me in any way you can
