Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Help Won't Stay running

For a few weeks the truck would keep running after I turned it off, this may or may not be related. But typical behavior for me I did nothing until now when it won't stay running. I started the truck just now fine, put it in reverse and backed up about 6 feet and it stalled. I restarted the truck and same thing happened. OK So I started it again and it stalled right away. All I can get is one rev up to about 1,800rpm and then it cuts right out like it's not getting fuel. If I start and don't touch the go pedal it stalls right away. And if I mash it it revs to about 18 and cuts out.

HELP! Just rented a car so I can get to work Tomorrow. Any suggestions would be great.

Darren, Darren, Darren... ... Why do you NOT have my phone #'s?!!



Take that POS electric shutdown solenoid RIGHT OUT OF THE TRUCK, throw it out and forget about it. (it's bolted to the AFC housing on the top... and back... of the injection pump).



Your truck will run fine.



Then install a choke cable or PTO cable and run it into the cab to use as a manual shutdown.
