tach and warning lights not working alt also not working started as intermittent now in state of fail we have checked all the stuff you guys have told us to but have not got anywhere. if any body knows what pins to check on the pcm to if it has shorted out that would be a big help

Check the obvious/simple things first, fuses, grounds under dash and elsewhere. It'd be good if you could create a signature so we can help.

Hay guys , I called this guy last night to try and help , it sounded to me like he lost the power to the ECM , niether of us know where the shut down relay is , then I thought that I'll bump his post back up to see if we can get him going.

No ECM on 97. Could be engine speed sensor but more likely ground (wires or connector).



Fuel shut off relay is on drivers side cowl (fire wall) right next to fuel heater relay, this shouldn't have any thing to do with is problem.



As per 96 seervice manual ground 201 is at lower right side of instrument panel,gound 202 is near or on radio. These seem to be the two main grounds there are a couple of others.
