try disconnecting the batteries for awhile

Thanks. Tried to disconnect the batteries for about 10 minutes. Didn't do anything.

Does it spin over normally or does it spin really fast? I could have bent sthe valve and you have no compession. I would think that the pushrods would bend first though. I hope your problem is easier than this. Tom

thanks mark for posting the original question for me. just got back.



I was entering on to the highway, accelerating in 4th gear, for some reason didn't shift until 3200 rpms, got in to 5th and the truck shut off. does crank over normally. lift pump is working. check engine light is on. truck is at dodge dealer now, will wait till Monday morning to see what happened. Did go back over to see if it would start but still nothing. does the computer shut it down if you over rev it? thanks. ( do have a power edge on it but been running it for about 20,000 miles )
