Guys,
Lift pump went out a couple of days ago and I've been running on an electric pump in line with the factory lift pump until today. Replaced the pump and no go. After much cussing I found a crack in the housing where the line from the tank feeds the pump... Suckin air not good. Finished putting it all back together with the old pump with the electric and the old pump has a crack in it from when I removed the copper elbow for the pump feed (it was stuck preaty good). So then I bypassed the old pump altogether and hooked up the electric. Figured the old pump could act as a block cover until a got ANOTHER new one. Turned the pump on and bled the lines on the injector side of the filter housing. Got a bit of air and then it cleared up. Still no go. It won't even kinda try to start. Do I need to bleed the injectors? Did I get to much air in the injection pump? What should I do.
Also, I ran 12v to the fuel cut off switch on the injection pump and heard it click on and of just to make sure it was working.
She was running so good before I messed with it. Blew the doors of a little rice burner last night. Poor guy had his girlfriend with him... Neither of them looked very happy after I schooled them
