I just installed the PODs and I need to adjust the idle (500rpm right now) but I can't get a wrench on the locknut.

Do I need a special tool or is there some other way?

Take a small flat punch and tap the nut and it should loosen, it should not be all that tight. To get to the adjustment screw I always take the AFC line off(hope thats what it is). It allows easy access to the screw. You might clean the threads with carb cleaner that way the nut will spin freely. Hope that helps.

A 10mm deep socket 1/4" drive is the one to use. At least it works for me. I found the "punch" idea does work, but it also scars up the nut and makes it hard to use any other method after that.

Well I finally went and got a crow-foot wrench set. Couple of short extensions with a universal in the middle worked like a charm. Then came the impossible. The threaded stud is almost impossible to turn. I got stubborn and would not remove any more lines. I'd had enough of that already. I managed to get it up to 650rpm so I called it quits for now. I'll finish it when I do the timing.
