I just wanted to give the guys at Hemet Chrysler in Hemet, CA all the praises in the world!! They are a top notch and state of the art facility!! THey just replaced my tail shaft seal today but I was SURPRISED they offered me a free rental car just for being a loyal customer to their service dept!!! Oo. They have serviced all my trucks since my 98 and now the 06 and I have NEVER purchased a vehicle from them!!

BTW, my service writer used to frequent the TDR but his boss at the dealership said he would be fired if he went on to this site while at work... Pretty crappy...

But I Highly RECOMMEND these people and dealership and if you live in the area it is well worth it to take it to them... Ask for Dani Ackerman to be your service writer!! :D

Hi,

I have to agree, Dani Ackerman is a good guy. I do however have a hard time addressing the dreaded drive line growl at 2000rpm in my 2004 with Hemet Chrysler. It was called characteristic of the Cummins aplication (Haha). They would not even do the fundamental diagnostic, like removing the front drive shaft to determine front or rear issue. After I had it done at my expense, they did not have an inclinometer (or where not willing) to measure driveline operating angles. Even though that is the specific Dodge advised procedure. I had to purchase my own to the tune of $113. Now I will be able to measure myself. As soon as outside temps warm up a bit. And then I will see what is next. I hardly drive the truck right now at all. Luckily I have another Cummins.

Other than that they are doing a fine job, as long as no dial indicators are involved.

Questions to any detail please direct to my e-mail: -- email address removed --

Thanks for the replies. I guess not everyone is 100%. . LOLOLOL I have not heard this driveline problem in too many trucks. It may be that I pretty much know all of the mechanics there at the dealership and they tend to tell me the truth on lots of stuff. LOLOL

Hi roperteacher,

Do a search on driveline growl or vibration and you will be overwhelmed with information. it's been going on since 2003.
