Henderson Axles?

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

At what point am I lugging in 5th gear?

How to back it in.

I'm looking at a KIT Mfg Patio Hauler 351F & have been told by the factory that they use 6K Henderson axles. Anybody have any experience with these axles?

The email stated 'Henderson Wheels, 6000lb - not upgradable'.....

What makes Hayes so expensive to maintain vs Dexter (or others)?

Brian

There is a company called "Hendrickson" that has been building axles and suspension for the big rigs for years. Top quality, very reliable. They have a new air ride steer axle that will be very popular on the 2002 model Freightliner trucks.

Found out the axles are Alco/Hayes with 12x2 brakes. The beams are rated at 7K & the springs are 6K.

Any specific issues to look out for with this set-up?

A buddy of mine from Beeville needed to replace the brakes on his gooseneck. He had 2-10,000lbs Hayes axles. If he would have bought all new brakes (4 elec. )it would have been around $700 dollars. I replaced all 3 sets of brakes (triple 7000lb torx axles dexters) on my gn for about $380.

Henderson axle is located on south lake street in salt lake city, ut. I upgraded the axles on my travel trailer & found them very good to deal with. The paper work with telephone & address are in my trailer stored 50 miles from house. Should be able to get that from information;Ron
