Although I have been visiting here for a few months, I believe this is my first post. I would like to thank all of you who make this board possible and those who provide the priceless information.

This week I will be getting my SunCoast Pro-lock complete transmission. I have read great things about other brands but, since I live about 2 hours from Suncoast and local shops use and warranty thier products, I felt that Suncoast was the best choice for me. I have a 3000 gsk, #4 plate and AFC spring on the way from TST. A set of gauges is in the works as well. I hope to have all work completed within the next week or two.

My next phase will be a set of DD3 or 370 injectors and 191 delivery valves.

After that, either piers HX 35 turbo or the HX 40.

Finally I'll add 4" exhaust and KN air filter or the Mega Cannon.

It will probably take 3 or 4 months to make the complete transition. I'll update each stage of the way.

Looks like a nice list. My only comment would be, just in case it ends up taking a little longer than planned would be to mix the air flow mods with the fuel mods. And as long as yer going for it, add a PDR Cam to the list.

Fuel, Air, Fuel, Air, Cam opposed to Fuel, Fuel, Air, Air.

You are goin to wonder why you didn't do this the first day you had the truck, it'll be that good.

If you go with 215 injectors (available used) and 181 delivery valves (also available used), you will have around 300 rear wheel horsepower. A PDR HX-35 (they can mod yours) and 4" exhaust will finish it off nicely.

If you go with the 370's, you will need the 191's to make it run right (I'm there now).

Another alternative is to take your pump into a Bosch shop (find one that does pumps for puller trucks and tractors) and have the pump turned up. You'll still need a set of 181's but you can send the plate back. Most shops charge about what you payed for the plate.

Have fun.

Private Message me if needed

I have a '95 and have been down the same road your now embarking on - 191 delivery valves, 3k Gov Spring kit, 4" exhaust, Stage 3 Injectors (less smoke than the 370's, very smooth, cost slightly more), AFE Mega Cannon, Guages, transmission, #4 plate (FUN to drive and wicked fast, but too much smoke for my conservative community - it's in my tool box now, etc.

I agree with above - have your pump mods changed internally and ship your plate back. While their in there have them advance your timming (I didn't see any mention of this on your list - you'll need it. Mine is set to 15. 5 - much further and your pressures and noise are much higher)

I haven't touched the turbo yet, but need to - for quicker spooling - not for better cooling. It cools very well with the current set up and has :) lots of Getty Up Go!!! Hard to believe it's a HEAVY duty 3/4 ton truck and not a sports car!

Keep in touch if your have any questions.

Good luck with upgrades - you'll LOVE them. :D
