I've tried to figure it out, even searched the FAQ... What does B. O. M. B. stand for? I'm thinking I'm all for it except I get the feeling the warranty is not good after some of these mods...

Dont know if the letters actually mean anything on their own..... But it is a slang word for "hot-rodding" your vehicle... ...



If you think "BOMB"ing was hard to figure out... ... . Try this one..... "BHAF"... ... . Took me two days to figure out what the hell it was... ..... and I still think BFAF would be a better way of putting it. lol

There are several companies that make them... ... I use the NAPA version part # 2790 if my memory serves me... ... Replaces your entire airbox assembly... ... . and breathes roughly twice as good.



Look thru the member pics section and you will find pics of one in a truck. Once you see one you will understand why I feel BFAF would be even more appropriate although not as politically correct

Welcome to the TDR. Thats a nice rig. There is one just like yours that I stare at when I pass my dealer but all I can do is wish right now. Did they put that "Boat Ram" sign up just for you?

Ya know I notived that in the picture when I got home and DL'ed them from the camera! Everyone thinks I Photoshopped it! That pic looks like a commercial ad for Dodge doesn't it?

When I was at the dealer Sunday test driving an '03, he was telling me about this guy that traded his truck in and how he had this HUGE air filter on there. I reached over, popped the hood on my truck and asked "Like this?" He was all over it taking a look. It definitely has shock value

HOLY CRAP!!! That's a BFAF!!! Looks about the size of a bathroom wastebasket !!! As soon as someone has one for the 03 I'm there. Does removing the airbox and going open like that void the warranty? Or get the dealer/service dept riled enough to try and claim a void of warranty?

I certainly wouldn't take a truck into the dealer expecting a pat on the back for a BHAF. They can't deny warranty for it unless the BHAF is the cause of the problem but I wouldn't doubt that they will note it on their computer that you have some sort of weird non-approved filter and could use it against you later. No big deal to remove and put the stock box back in before going to the dealer.

I have not looked at the 03 but something tells me the intake hose is still 4"... ..... I imagine it will work for the 03 too... .....

The batteries and the air filter have changed places in the 03's. the filter being in front of the battery now..... shouldn't be a problem though... .....
