Buying fuel in bulk

Issue 61 TDR ?????????

What else would you expect from this government? They tell us to conserve by not driving so much and then when we do they want to raise the gas tax because we are not driving enough to make them enough money.

Eventually they'll merely take your entire paycheck from you, and issue you a house, clothing, food, and water.

Everyone will LOVE this part of the proposal:

According to a draft of the financing commission's recommendations, the nation needs to move to a new system that taxes motorists according to how much they use roads. While details have not been worked out, such a system would mean equipping every car and truck with a device that uses global positioning satellites and transponders to record how many miles the vehicle has been driven, and perhaps the type of roads and time of day.

NOW, just imagine the new level of bureaucracy, that will need - new personnel, offices, vehicles, and wouldn't you LOVE to be the contractor who gets the $$$ contract for the equipment needed to be fitted to all affected vehicles?

Shucks, MOST of the tax increase will NOT go for improved roads, but rather, for the bureaucratic infrastructure it will require to establish and regulate it...

Sounds like the whole country will be modeled after California. We've got lots 'o service fees coming our way. Thank God for Howard Jarvis R. I. P. ,or the state government would be raising our property taxes as our property corrects to realistic values. This departing administration didn't exactly behave as conservatives. Spending on entitlements was higher than any past administration,Dem. or Republican. I'm a registered non-partisan as neither party faintly resembles what they were years ago. This way I can be equally disgusted with both parties.
