Just wandering what you guys think of diesel skyrocketing in price the last couple weeks. Here in New York it's almost up 20 cents a gallon at 2. 79  , how much did it go up around everyone else?

Helpless.

where was/is it $2. 85 I got gouged at $3. 09

I got it @ $2. 99 in Clairemont area today. What a deal. :{ I decided to keep my Accord and ran it into the shop today for service. At least I'll be getting 28mpg. when I get creamed by other drivers. :)

Gone up to 2. 85? It never went below that in Reno. It's been sitting around there for quite a while. I've noticed gas has been creeping up, but diesel hasn't moved. Yet. It'll go up on Sunday when we head to Death Valley. I'm going to have to plan so I don't have to fuel up anywhere near there.

oh we're gonna be feeling the pain come summer time. $2. 75 here in Idaho. I've seen several 5 cent increases in the past couple of weeks. It's rediculous.

$2. 69 in Colorado Springs. It was down to about $2. 45 a couple weeks ago, but that didn't last long. Not that $2. 45 is good, but sure beats the hell out of $2. 69. Why did they raise the price, because they can... ...

$2. 44 in Montgomery, Ala. I take pride in the fact that I pay more for diesel than others pay for premiun gasoline. I get get to spend ten minutes or more filling up at beautiful green pump and the foam is free! I hope fuel goes up to at least $3. 00/gal because I miss eating Tuna three times a day. Who would have thought that the price-of-diesel diet would help me lose twenty pounds and four inches! Life is good.

$2. 65 in Evansville, IN. I agree with kowaliga, I was on a steak and bud light diet when B5 was $2. 35 and regular fuel was 2. 25. Looks like it's back to the rouman noodle and falls city diet again.

I'm getting sick and tired of these stupid price fluxuations.

Does anything else change so violently?

What if electricity did that? One month it's 0. 08/Kw. . the next 0. 14/kw.

Or food? Do you do to the grocery store one day and buy milk for $2/gal and the next week it's $3??

Paying for fuel is worse than investing in the stock market and it SHOULD NOT BE.

I am also sick and tired of PRICE GOUGING. In Mtn Home there is a Chevron and Pilot across the street from each other. Pilot is ALWAYS less money, like diesel would be $2. 63 and Chevron has it for $2. 80.

Yet people go there still! I don't understand it at all why they would fill up there. Are they that stupid to not look across the street?

Fuel IMO is a basic need of life. You need it for heat, and to get to work!

How I am to get to work if I can't afford fuel? Walk 15 miles?
