question about batteries

I like it, but there are just as many video's with Ford doing the same thing, but I've never seen a DMAX do it. :-laf:-laf:-laf

Agreed. It's usually about traction, and Chrysler has no unique séance at the factory to magically get traction to the ground better than anyone else.......don't even get me going on tugowars.
 
Imagine that, a pick-up with traction towed a big blob out of a ditch. Paste a logo on the hood of the towing pick-up, and if it's not your chosen logo, flame it! Typical, and meaningless. I'm sure the semi driver didn't mind which logo did the towing.
 
YOU may not have paid for that feature. I'm pretty sure that "4wGripSeance(TM) Package" comes standard with the 3500s. :-laf

What kills me is when in these situations, a smaller, lighter vehicle tries, and fails to pull out a stuck something.... while spinning its wheels. Then a larger, heavier vehicle succeeds. Then all the knuckle draggers hop on the band wagon and say the small truck didn't have enough "power". Well, how were it's wheels able to spin then?

Spot on with traction though. People also don't often understand how much weight distribution play into that. That can be anything from the angle the vehicle sits at while trying to get traction or if the load is effectively pulling up or down where it's placed.
 
There is a 4X4 park here in So.Cal, (Azusa Canyon) and in this park there is a stream running through it. There is a spot that has an under water boulder in the middle of what appears to be a shallow area and a DMAX was stuck on the front end, (I'd say axle, but its independant suspension.) and there were several Fords trying to pull him off the boulder by their rear bumpers. I would have said something, but I was a quarter mile away watching over a look out, sitting on my Harley. They just left it sitting on the boulder that way, and none of them thought to pull from the front of the truck were all the weight is from the engine, I would have embarrassed them if I had my C&C.
 
If he was stuck that hard they couldn't move him , then pulling with a dodge in reverse would in high probability drop the front driveshaft, then or shortly thereafter, or break front diff. best way to move too much weight is pulling frontwards with a properly sized snatch strap. At the very least you could rip the front diff mounting bushings out.lol
 
I would not have had a problem hooking up to my front cleats and pulling the truck in reverse. A snatch strap yes, snatching and pulling are two different methods, no way would I risk my truck by snatching, if your talking about leaving slack and backing up in a hurry to suddenly yank it off the boulder. LOL
