I thought the Silver bullet had a 71mm compressor wheel, I could have sworn that's what Shane told me it was awhile back... They have so many options it's hard to keep track. . :confused:

the silver bullet is a 66mm wheel very few have the secret 71 mm, the silver 62 is one of a kind and it will support 700-750hp while the bullet is good up to 850 or so.
 
A fellow member here went from 555HP with sps66 to 480ishHP with a smaller sps62. Yeah its different days and diferent dyno's with different electronic combo's but his seat of the pants meter was on max when he drove it on the rollers. Its going to be ALOT easier to make your 700HP goal with a larger tubo. To tell you the truth I cant think of anyone that has 600+hp with a 62mm turbo... .



I have a Silverbullet on my 03 with Smarty alone and im 100% happy with it. The Smarty spools the big silverbullet very well. I dont kow why your stressing on going with a larger turbo when you should be stressing oh turning your nice happy daily driven CTD into a 700hp hard to drive beast with lots of quirkey-ness. Its not going to be fun to drive everyday with 700hp, big single, dual disk clutch... .



If I were you I'd start off with a killer all billet automatic since that will help tame the beast and make it more driver freindly. Dont expect this truck to be as quick as a 500hp auto. DD clutches arnt designed to shift fast and take alot of getting use to... not to mention that there very noisy, chatter and shake the heck out of your truck. Well if you decide to get an auto I'd also go with a set of twins instead. That set up would be 200% better and have 200% better driveability over a 700hp Big single with a DD clutch.



It sounds like you dont have much experience in building a high hp 3rd gen and like I said before you NEED to team up with a good builder who has lots of experience in building high HP 3rd gens. There's certian guy's/builders out there that know the in and out's, secaret's, and the perfect reciepe's for making big HP without wasting your time and money on the wrong parts.



Contact D. Wiggs and talk to him about his 06MC thats has everything that we listed with the exception of twins and he's also going for big HP and he inst thrilled about his grabby, noisy and hard to shift DD clutch behind his beast. .



I think we've all taken out time and given you good info now go start looking for someone to help you build it.

There is NO WAY the silver 62 is going to support 700-750 RWHP on #2 only.

Well again you are knowledge short..... On a little ol VP equipped truck running a version of this made almost 850 RWHP.
 
when i said silver bullet i did not mean the 62 version i meant the big boy. my buddy killed his htt sp66 and replaced it with the silver bullet bigboy and he had better spool up and lower egts. he did add the stage II cp3 and dons stage 2's. so he could not really compare apples to apples. the htt66 died after only 10K miles. FWIW. he made 505 with a CL/tst stack htt66 built transmission. thats along way from 700 now with the IISB and sticks and pump and banks intercooler he should be around 650-700. we will see what he does. his engine is being built as we speak b/c of blown injectors which i suspect the CL caused. he is dumping the Cl and going with a smarty tst stack with the edge for dyno times and racing. the goal is to get the most hp without wasting you engine and using high fuel p is not a route i will be going myself. good luck
