On September 26, 2001 K9 Git Ander was shot and killed in the line of duty during an incident while attempting to apprehend three suspects fleeing from a dumped stolen auto subsequent to a pursuit.



Git Ander, an 8 ½ year old German Shepherd, was Sergeant Gillespies loyal partner for seven years. Git lived with him and his wife, four daughters, 10, 9, 7, 5 and one son, 2, during this time. Git had an amazing record of service. He served at the World Trade Center in New York on many occasions after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. He was gentle and mild-mannered making him a favorite at local schools and nursing homes. John and his wife, Allison, and children were devastated by the death of their friend and family member. Bad Cops

Now, These 2 men are what give cops a bad name. 18 times is way excessive. Yes it is only a dog, but it was an Officer none the less. If these 2 shot another man 18 times, you know they'd be in jail. That is unless they are Cincinnati Cops

I was leaving church today and saw a K-9 cop directing traffic.

I was sitting next to his partner (a Shepherd in the back of the patrol car) and I was amazed at how this dog WOULD NOT divert his or her attention from the officer in the traffic.

I tried to, but I could not break this dogs concentration!!!!

If I ever became a cop, I would want a dog for a partner.

Oh BTW, in the past few months, almost all of the murders in my town were from cops!! All except one.

I dont mean in the line of duty either..... that aint murder.
