I have a 98. 5 2500, when i'm doing about 2000 rpm and try to accelerate the truck does nothing, it acts like i did not push the pedal. This will happen at low speed or high speed. Sometimes when just driving along it will sputter and lurch, like its not getting any fuel???? I did do the lift pump conversation, the one in the tank, the fuel filter was changed 4 months ago, the air filter (k&n) was cleaned 3 weeks ago. Please help! Thanks

Welcome to the TDR. Oo. Oo. Oo.

What is your fuel pressure at

Do you have a gauge

Any codes

Did it do this before the fuel pump conversion in the tank

Couple of thoughts.

1) MAP sensor

2) VP

Right next to the drivers side Battery, and below the air intake horn. It is the device with all the 6 little steel injector lines running to it.

I would like to know if the pump is going out would i get a check engine light??

Not always... . Sometimes when a pump is dying or dead you will not get the light or even a code in the odometer, other times you will get one or the other and even both.
