My Friend has a 2005, 2500, 4X4, Auto, SWB, that hesitates on acceleration. the dealer says there is nothing wrong with the transmission and that it is the way he drives it. Any ideas? I'M thinking transmission or Fuel injections pump.
How many miles do you have on the truck. I am getting a hesitation too and I am pretty sure it is the apps sensor. I had to replace the first one at 80k and now I am at 195k. The problem is it is $350 and since it is not throwing codes I don't want to dump the money into it without being sure. I think I am just going to clean it first and see if it fixes it. In your case it could be one of several sensors or another fuel issue. Between my upgrades and recently replacing the fca and high pressure rail sender I am pretty sure I have narrowed mine down to the apps.
When was the last time he changed his fuel filter and air filter?? How long has it been doing this? when was the last time he got fuel? Has he tried and fuel treatments?
