When I started my pickup today it hesitated badly, ran good for a second, and hesitated again, before running fairly strong again. If you listen to it when it is idleing, you can hear a slight hesitating or loping sound. It did this same thing everytime I started it today, but I am still able to hit 25 pounds of boost at wot. Has anyone seen anything like this? Could it be a bad fuel filter? I had installed a fuel pressure guage last week, but the guage didn't work so I am waiting on a replacement. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Justin

I am new to the board. How do you turn the sig. on? I have a 98. 5,va,boost module and elbow, banjo bolts, 4 in exhaust, spa-boost and pyro, 5spd, pac brake.

lift pump........

i just put in a fuel pressure gauge over the weekend. mine didn't show any pressure either. we determined the gauge was working. my stock truck was making 19-20#'s of boost. just fought with the dealer and was told my lift pump was bad which i knew going into it but i had to convince them of that. these trucks can run w/o the lift pump but its very hard on the vp-44 pump. check that lift pump.
