It’s time to change transmission (G56) and transfer case (NV273) fluid. What size hex wrenches are needed to remove drain and fill plugs for G56 and NV273? Also, should I run the truck up to operating temperatures before I change fluids? Thanks for your help.

Yes, I would get it at least very warm. Drive it 15 minutes or so.

Hex Keys: Got mine at Autozone. Turns out, they have a 3 piece metric hex key socket set there, I think by Great Neck or some cheap chinese name. The middle one is the Transmission Hex. I had to use a large standard (slightly undersized) hex key and an adjustable wrench to open the TCase, as the smallest of the 3 hex key sockets is bigger than the TCase plug. It's smaller than the head on a 5/16 bolt, which I checked from Dad's bolt bins.
