Reader's Rigs... A Reminder

I was a lurker as well. I literally spent months reading the archives and searching out questions that I had. When I joined I still had a lot of questions, and have gotten an answer to basically everything I have asked.

To all that are lurking with no membership, use this site for information. Get all you can out of it, then join and contribute. Contribution is what makes this site what it is, a tremendous resource.

Think about this: You have a question/problem with your truck. You take it in somewhere and you pay 3/4 hour of shop rate for your answer hoping it is right. Now take that same 3/4 hour of shop rate and send it to the TDR instead. You now have one year to ask all the questions you need and a knowledge base that is unequaled anywhere in the world. Which is the better investment? I want to ask 5000 people the question myself.

I lurked for an hour, before I made Mrs Doc call and sign me up. I didn't sign up for the rag either. All I needed was the TDRoundtable Fix.

I won't be answering any more rude email full of unfriendly, coarse language and mispellings, questioning my integrity.

Looks like I won't be getting any more return emails from him. .

So now I know he really means it! :D

Anyway. . Sometimes I figure out that I didn't get logged in for some reason, when I arrived. Maybe some of those "lurkers" are just members who aren't logged in.

lurkers

i just finished reading all the posts on the other web site regarding TDR administration. there certainly seems to be alot of hard feelings. the administrator of the site said he was banned and subscription money returned(i blieve that is a correct recall of what was posted). sure seems like there is enough info to have these sites compliment one another. at this point i feel i am getting my monies worth here. i'll view both sites and soak in all that wonderful info. hey, i try to be a peacemaker!!!! so much hostility, so little time!!!!!!!!!

Read it again, I wasn't including ALL lurkers in that description. Nothing wrong with it, I think Ram4Sam is right to encourage people to go ahead and sign up. The benefits are fantastic. But I also think there is a majority out there, that never will sign up, for their own reasons. If you guys could just see some of the email I've received... . Definitely a fringe element out there.

To the clown who said: "tell me why you want to sell that Hx40, and don't lie" all I can say to you is, you're evidently not a member here, because if you were, you'd know my word is my bond with MANY TDR members in several countries around the world! I found it extremely offensive to be called a liar before I had even said anything! No name given, and the email address was not one belonging to any member, as far as I know. And that's just one example.

There is a fringe element on just about every site. Pay or not, it happens. I don't know about people calling you a liar, but I don't know the circumstances. To each his own I guess.

It's worth $35 just to read Doc's posts.

I may have to let my account expire if I don't get a job soon. Something's got to go.

Right on. Did you ever try walking into a dealer or any other repair facility and ask technical questions about your truck. Sir you need and appointment and there's one hour labor fee $60-80 bucks so we can tell you it's normal:rolleyes:

By the way try asking how would you hang your bathroom toilet paper, yep you also can get that answered here.

True true, and a lot of them are probably Ford and Chevy folks too.

I lurk regularly. I often check posts from school, when I have a lull in work or class or something. I don't log in, so it shows as a lurker... but as some of you know, I do read and post once a in blue moon too... so, don't be too hard on the lurkers... it only means they aren't logged in...

There really isn't that much I don't already know so I'm not here to learn. I just hang out here in case anyone wants to ask me any questions.
