Greatest Website for info...

I'm new to the site, my grandpa and I are on our second issue of TDR now. My grandpa owns a 1996 Ram 250 Diesel, auto, 410. I own (since August) a 1993 250 ram Diesel, 5 speed, 355, which has been awesome. Just a couple months ago I straight piped it... best $15 I've spent in a long time! I am a true diesel nut now. I'm in my senior year of highschool.

I plan on posting a picture of my truck, I have put a lot into it. I put on second generation chrome rims, 285/75s, some aftermarket lights and a high flow airfilter.

Just though I would introduce my self and say hi!

Welcome CB... .

What a great connection for you and your grandpa. I never knew either of my grandpa's, and I have always known I missed a lot.

Stay in school and work hard, 'cause you've got a lifetime of Cummins addiction that is likely to require lots of $$

;)

Hey CB, welcome. You're lucky to be starting with an interest in diesels so early and have a mentor too. I've been through Salmon a couple times on bike tours, nice little town in some beautiful country.

Originaly I'm from Chicago, so it was kind of a culture shock comming to this small town. But I like it a lot, I love trucks, hunting, fishing and off-roading, so this is a great place to be.

I'm glad my first truck was a Dodge. When I first went in search of a truck, I knew I wanted a Dodge. The Fords were ugly and I didn't like the powerstroke. The Chevys had a horrible reputation for diesels. I knew I wanted a diesel, and Dodge was the way to go.

I'm hooked, I'll never buy anything besides a Dodge Turbo-Diesel.

If I had known then...

I know a guy that traded in his 89 CTD Ram for a new 94 Chevy diesel. Had I known about the greatness of th eB series when I was 15, I would have bought it from him then. But I have 2 now, and am happy. Trying to get my neighbor hooked- he thinks his 6. 9 is quite a hoss. But both my CTDs will blow away either of his Explorers.

Glad to hear from someone so young and yet so level headed. I turn heads when I smoke the 350 CHevys in the town I grew up in. What do you do with your horses? I rodeoed a bit in High school, mostly bull riding, but threw a rope now and then. My fiancee wants to get into barrel racing; real horse nut.

welcome

welcome i wish i had a cummins in h. s. but i had to settle with a 67 rs camaro, yeah i know it was hard. enjoy the tdr

Welcome aboard CB_Parker and Grandpa CB_Parker,

I wish now that I had a CTD in high school but at the time I was not as educated as you are in the fine art of diesel power. This is probably a good thing considering the Dodge diesels were just hitting the streets at that time (first gen) and I would have never been able to afford one.

I can tell that you are going to go places, You know stuff that took me until my late twentys to figure out. However, make sure you stay in school and go to college because as the others said it takes $$$$ to play with the big toy's and you've got to have an education these day's to make good $$$$.

Just an FYI: I chose "CB_Parker" because my name is Chris, and my grandpa's name is Bob, hence"CB" and Parker is our last name.

I really appreciate the warm welcome. I plan on sticking to this site as much as possible. There is a lot to be learned.
