Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Hey guys do our trucks have these?

I was just curoius if our Dodge trucks have oil coolers on our trucks and if not has anyone put one on there rucks thanks alot!

Yes, it is an oil to water cooler. In the side of the block. They are necessary on these engines when towing.

They sure do. It's behind the oil filter. It cools the engine oil with the engine coolant. Now I would like to know if the oil is cooled pre-filter, post filter or both?

Pg 9-230 of the 2000 service manual says it goes to the cooler then to the filter.
