i JUST GOT BACK HOME AND MY PAN WAS HERE ITS THE DEEP ANYTHING I SHOULD DO THAT WOULD HELP WITH INSTALLATION JUST CURIOUS AND IF I LOOSEN MY VALVE BODY FOR FLUID DRAIN WHAT SHOULD I RETORQUE THE BOLTS AT THANKS ALOT

P. S. THIS PAN IS HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:--)

Here is a couple of pointers....

Don't change it in your driveway unless you don't mind oil all over it. And most importantly... . do NOT tighten the filter extension too tight or it will not seal properly at the VB. Gotta love the Double Deep. :D Oo.

Didn't use anything on mine and didn't even recheck them after some miles. Mine never leaked. But it doesn't hurt to check them, I always tend to over-torque things. (It is going to get me in trouble one day)

I would just say careful tightening adapter to valvebody, torque is 50 in lb. After tightening look carefully to see that adapter is square to valvebody and not creating a gap! It would be OK to leave that gasket out as the two mating surfaces are machined. As to the pan, the FSM calls for 150 in lb on the pan bolts, however I usually only go 130 in lb and have no problems. It isn't a bad idea to check them after a few heat cycles, just don't create a problem by overtightening them. I do not use sealers on the gasket. HTH

I have lost count of how many I have installed and still don't have one on my own truck!
