I am trying to find someone to haul a truck across country from western MD to Los Angeles CA. I am selling a truck on ebay and the high bidder lives in CA. I don't think the price of shipping ever entered his mind till I questioned him about it. Now he needs to find some to haul it out for him. I have a car trailer but don't think I would have the time to break free for that long of a run, besides for what I would charge he could pay someone else.

There is a member that lives in Baltimore that hauls cars. Can't think of his name right now. Maybe someone else can remember.



With the price of fuel, you would need to find someone with at least 6 cars going that way. I figure at the ridicules price of . 25/mile and fuel your looking at 2330. 00 for a single truck and trailer. Most guys get . 50 to . 75 cents/mile.



Good luck. If you can't find nobody let me know. I have a driver that needs a run.

Transport companies will give you a better rate if you let them pick the delivery route and how long it will take to get there. That way they can fit it into their load and schedule. It's gonna cost him some . I know when I sold my truck on Ebay I was amazed at how far away the bidders were. My high bidder opted to fly down and drive the truck back to Portland, OR.

Well,he's decided to go with A-1 auto transport. They quoted him $795. Thanks for the input though
