Finally the lil' girl is in and spooling good :D :D This is a lot of work if you do it my way  I bought my housing from Evan A. Beck here, and it came with a 45* elbow. So I used a down pipe from BD Power for use with their exhaust brake, and it kind of works. I am going to have to heat it and dent it in places to make it clear the frame a little bit :p The truck runs and sounds nice, love the turbo spool noise both under acceleration and slowing down. I have yet to hook up the muffler and rest of the junk because it has to be taken out and put back to fit... . long story, you would have to see.

Low Down,

Boost from 17max to ? I did hit 24+ but I have not really hit it yet. :)

EGT's are on average higher at lower rpm, but at higher rpm & fuel they are about 150-200* lower, but the exhaust is not hooked-up yet either.

Tomorrow I will hook-up the exhaust and might play with the fuel. The truck ran HOT before 1150* with the 21cm^2 housing. I have no clue where the screws are or what is going on with the pump, but so far I think that the low boost fuel screw is up too far causing higher then normal EGT's at lower rpm.

Alright, I am done Merry Christmas to all :D And if you are thinking of installing a 12cm^2 housing, it is not easy as pie, but it makes accelerating like a piece of cake ;)

I have to put my truck in the shop to have exhaust work done to modify the down pipe and existing exhaust to work around the frame. IMHO, if you are going to run a 12cm^2 housing get one with the straight outlet, you will save time and money. It is nice having a 3" down pipe, but down time kind of stinks :( I have seen 25 PSI of boost, and my EGT's are lower all of the time now :D

The "best" fix is to use a takeout downpipe from a 2nd gen truck (like when they put in a 4 inch turbo to tail) and splice it into the system just behind the 1st bend (on the new downpipe) or 2nd bend (old downpipe). The adapter plate to make your old downpipe mate up to the wastegated 12 is about $100 I'm told.
