Hey MWTDR (Omaha)

I'm a new guy around these parts and would enjoy meeting some of you...

My wife and I are involved with Cystic Fibrosis, and are part of the planning team for the annual poker run here in Omaha. In the past, it's been mostly motorcycles that participate, but this year, they're actively inviting car clubs, hot rod clubs and so on to join in. Thought it'd be a great venue to get together, if you guys do get together. They're hoping to put together a car show and such at the last stop which would also include food and so on. Date hasn't been set, but I think they're looking at June or July.

Just dropping a line here to see if there was any interest. Even if not, it'd be great to hook up some time...

That could be a lot of fun! I think many of the MWTDR guys are buried in work right now... I just happened to be surfing the site in some spare time myself. Don't let this one drop... I'll keep checking back as well.

Attached is some information on the poker run. Tried to import the flier that looked much better than this text file, but no go. There's blanks on the bottom should you wish to pre-register, but most will register day of the event as the cost will remain the same. I've got my CTD and a motorcycle to ride, haven't decided which mode I'll be taking. I will more than likely be running the second stop, which I believe is in Honey Creek Iowa. If you need more info, just let me know!

Sorry I have not replied earlier to your response. As acting president of the MWTDR I would like to welcome you to the area and hope your stay will be fun. I think it is a great idea for this poker run and a great opportunity to bring our local TDR members together for a good cause. I have a friend whose son has Cystic Fibrosis and I understand how frustrating it can be. Radman, send me a private email with your phone number if you wish so I can call and talk to you more about your planned poker run.



As to all the local TDR members I hope you all can find some time to help support this worthy cause I know I will be there.

Cystic Fibrosis Poker RUn

Just wanted to thank Radman for putting on a great poker run for the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. I was the only truck among many bikers and had fun meeting all involved. Keep up the good work Radman and hope this event grows even more next year and maybe we can get more MWTDR members there.

I wouldn't mind a GTG sometime this summer. I haven't been doing much of anything since I broke my leg in April, but now I am starting to hobble around and would like

to get out and do a few things. Maybe even a 'bombing' session later this summer or early fall. .



I got a whole list of cra - Err - stuff I want to do to my truck, mainly gauges, but

also a windshield fluid heater to install, and a heated seat kit. . yes, I know, bad timeing

for the heated seat right now. . but it will feel good in the winter leaving work

at 4AM!.
