Got your email concerning the new smoker--mine did come with a drain-hole (needs a tin can underneath). . I installed a thermometer in the lid, but never knew about a separate reading for the grill temp. . makes sense, though... having trouble with my email--I can read them, one line at a time, thru the little window
, but not in a fullscreen view, and when I "click" the "Reply", all I get is a temporary outline where the new "window" will be located, but then it disappears, so I can't send a "reply" or an outgoing "new" message... . Hope people don't start thinking I'm antisocial, dead, or P. O. 'd at them... probably just a "settings" problem, but if all else fails, I'll use my darn aol address--(don't like that box, but at least it works

BTW- did a couple of chickens and some ribs and a block of that nasty "chopped ham sandwich stuff" on the grill y'day... turned out dry, but nicely flavored---too much heat, not enough humidity... practice makes perfect, I guess---rm
