What brand, $$$?, how was the install, how fast can you pull a trailer in reverse?

Seriously, it looks more useful than tow hooks. I wonder if I could tuck one under/in/behind a sport bumper. Where's that sawzall?

Oops, too late. What silencer ring? (More fun than my 98 SST)

Just to add 0. 015$ to this... .

The Drawtite #65003 @ about 140$ is a match for the frame. Dont have it so cant say how much "work" to your front would be neeeded.

Ben's right on the price. I've never tried a drag race pulling a trailer hooked up to the front receiver!! #ad
I put it on to give myself an option for recovery if the only point to hook to was the front end - I felt it was better than hooks because I would be pulling on both frame rails evenly as opposed to yanking on one rail (never had to use it in anger yet!) I have moved some trailers around on it in tight spaces and it was much better than trying to do it in reverse.

The Draw-Tite 65003 is an easy no-drill installation on the non-sport—six bolts and a hole in the air dam. On my 2000 the top of the front end of the receiver almost touches the bottom of the front license plate frame. I don't know where it would protrude on the sport.

The only weight ratings that Draw-Tite spells out are 500 pounds cargo (not tongue) weight and 9000 pounds winch line pull.

Sure is easy to spot a trailer with a front receiver.

And you have a loop at each end to tie the dog to and you can buy or build a service platform for changing oil/fuel filters (read BOMBing board) or mount a winch or put a bike rack up front or lock your license plate to it with a hitch lock or install a push bar or a safari seat or a set of weights to hold the front down. I sure like my Draw-Tite FMR hitch.

These guys summed up the install - simply bolt up. I understand that with a sport package that you have to make a cutout on the lower part of the plastic bumper cover to make room for the plug - AFAIK that's all that's necessary though.

Thanks all!

I think I'll dig into this a little more. Was considering the Mopar tow hooks, (I'd have to cut the bumper cover anyway)but a receiver on the front would be more versatile. Let's see...

Ball mount #ad

Shiney chrome Ram receiver plug #ad

Tow hook for pulling Phords back out of the way #ad

Winch for Bigger Phords #ad

Custom built 1/2" steel fold down front step/license plate bracket(GEO pushbar) #ad

Gee, the possibilities are endless.

Just another thought (yes I do have them once in a while)... ... get one of those (or make) "brushes" that protect your haul from rocks and mount it in front to "sweep" the furds out-o-way #ad

!! (or dust off the person in the low-riddler so your underside dont get dirty <hehehe>).
