I have approximately 13,500 miles on my '99 3/4-ton, quad-cab, long bed, 4x4, 6-spd. It first hit the road 4/21/99. I drive another vehicle daily to work, so I usually put on weekend miles to grandpa's farm or out on the town.
I put 33" BF Goodrich A/T's on the truck right after I bought it and after about 12K miles, my overhead console said I was getting an average of almost 17mpg. Then I pulled a 27' travel trailer about 500 miles across Texas and without reseting the overhead console, the average mpg dropped to 11. Kind of disappointing.

150,325 Miles no oil usage at 5500 miles since last change, oil is very clean, my sobs i used to have (6. 9 Phord + 6. 2 GMC) oil would turn really black in one block!!

I'm a middle-number guy. display says 69,5xx
adjust for taller tires puts me closer to 72-73K (miles, not km)---every time I pull the dipstick(full and reasonably clean up to 3K)I say "love this truck"--getting 16. 5-16. 9mpg (figured WITH tire adjustment) in urban mix driving. . have crossed the 21mpg barrier on long hiway run #ad

1/20/2K1---odo reads 75,xxx (tire adjustment puts me closer to 79-80K) since purchase 4Apr98 with 38miles... always been happy with this truck, but it's gotta evolve!
