Hi all just thought I would get my first post in as a new member

I have a 95 reg cab dually is mostly stock for now. We have done some pump mods and it still doesnt run like my 1st gens have any help would be appreciated, I think it may need to be timed, the local chrysler mechanic that rebuilt the trans said it doesnt act like it is getting full throttle.

Looks like someone talked you in to getting a membership, if so you just spent some good money, this place is unreal for information, sugjestions and bailouts when your truck has a problem. Have fun with it and Bomb away cause you'll be hooked now.

no not yet I was told that it may not affect mine but from what I have seen lately I think it does. thanks for the info

If the old cable is stretched or the adjustment is off so you are not getting full throttle the new cable and linkage may take care of if. Anyway, that's the place to start.

The 1995 3500 is included in the throttle cable recall... finally got my 63 bucks back. Replace it befor your throttle gets stuck... . or be ready! Mine did it in rush hour traffic,

Get the throttle cable done first, it helped mine !! Then if itis still being a dog you can start looking at other things.

Do not buy a new throttle cable. Find a good dealer & have them check & or replace it under the current safety recall covering 94-96. This recall covers the throttle cable & throttle linkage components.

How do I know about this?

The recall notice was mailed to me & I'm looking at it.



As far as how your truck is running? GOT GAUGES YET?



A fuel, boost & pyro will help you diagnose only what you can otherwise guess about.

Simply record what readings you are getting &:

1) Look up the correct readings in your manual

2) Just ask the TDR members what the correct #'s are



Then, you will know what your dealing with & if you actually have a problem or not. You will know exactly what to do after that. I would do this BEFORE you do any bombing. It'll save you a great deal of trouble.

When I had the throttle cable replaced under the recall notice, I couldn't believe the diffrence it made, though the old one didn't really show anykind of wear. Now I don't have to put my foot in it as much, man what a diffrence. It will operate alot smoother too.

I got the throttle fixed today... ... and I will just quote Emerald5. 9.....

I too saw the old cable and then asked my buddy(my mechanic) and I quote ... "why the hell did you change this?"



He just laughed and said you'll see.



WOW, I might not sell this thing now!





It also had three toher recalls done today as the previous guy didn't get them done... . headlight switch,Ignition/blower motor, hood latch.

it really helped the smoke situation too..... at least I can see the smoke I've done the mods to get.
