Howdy, Ray these things are Greattttt, after cruising 160 miles sense the install this morning 1hr. 25 min including swaping lift pump, SOP power is out of the ball park this thing, even as brand new never had this much get up and go. Also calculated fuel milage and its up ( PAD & PENCIL) from 17. 2 rto 19. 9 after my after noon test drive not bad for a 1 Ton 4x4 I'm certainly impressed. Oh yea thats just with 4 bolts I may need to shorten my injector pump bolt.

Has anyone else experanced this, Ray will need to know if the 99;s are different than the 01 or maybe the factory didnt tap mine as deep as others.

Thanks Again, Tom

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

This may be a dumb question, but everybody posting here is a 24v'er. Will these things work for us 12v'ers? Now we are wondering in the 12v forum.

Thanks,

Ryan

I received mine last night... . GREAT JOB RAY!!!!

Boy am I ready to put these things in... . guess I got a project for this weekend

Fit a 12-valve?

Ryan,

You have asked a good question. I bought a set without thinking about that. I looked in my Cummins Customized Parts Catalogue and, much to my chagrin, it looks like the only banjo bolt that Ray's replacements will fit is the lift pump bolt. I intend to try replacing the injection pump bolt with the tapped one today and will let you know if it works. I'm not optimistic. :(

Update: I just checked. The tapped bolt in Ray's set is 12mm. The injection pump bolt is 14mm. :( :( :(

ooops!

I never even thought about it before buying the bolts if it would fit a 12V or not.

AAARRRGGHH!

Oh well, I'll have them in case some dy I end up with a 24V.

Ray, the bolts look fantastic! Who would think getting all worked up about five little bolts. I can't wait to put them on. Thanks again for a job well done!!!

bolts for 12 valve

Let me know exactly what you need for the 12 valve trucks! I'm sure we can run them out as well. The best would be if someone had an extra one - are all of them the same in the 12 valve??? Ray

Ray,

I'm interested in a set of bolts for the 12v's. I'm too far away from you or I'd donate my truck for a day.

Thanks for the interest in helping out us 12v'ers as well. Please keep us posted.

THX Ray!

Great product! Arrived today and hopefully won't take that long to install (with July 4 'honey-do' list taking up too much time).

Dave F. good photos, does the product justice!

Thanks Ray

I installed mine today along with a new lift pump.

I like the bolts being plated to match the originals, They look stock.

I'll take a set of 5 with 2 tapped.

Check out Private Message for shipping address. Thanks Ray.

Ray:

Recieved the bolts the other day and put them on yesterday. They are a very nice piece of work. Thank you for manufacturing these things. There is quite a bit of difference in hole size especially in the ones that replace the schrader valves. Nice work.

Also those asking about torque specs on the bolts, per the 01 service manual the banjos get 18ft lbs.

Thanks again Ray,

Barry

short bolts for '99

It is my understanding that '99 trucks, (and I assumer 98. 5 perhaps???) have less thread in the pump than later models. I have made up shorter bolts, they should go out to plating today. Anyone with needing the short bolt, let me know, and we'll send one out. I did not tap any of the short bolts, as I didn't the extra weight of the sending unit hanging on 3 threads.

My apologies for not doing my homework - I assumed that when the standard length fit my '01, it would fit them all. (Of course, if I had done my homework, they would have cost more! )

All good things must end - or change

Effective today, July 23, I will no longer be selling banjo bolts direct. I will ship to all who have ordered and are patiently waiting! I will have bolts here by Wednesday at the latest, and we will begin shipping immediately.

Geno's is going to take over the marketing of these bolts. Hooray!!! (We found out once again how little we know about marketing and retail sales!) Their prices will be:

5 bolts - none tapped $31. 50

4 plus one tapped $33. 75

3 plus two tapped $36. 00

The above prices will include 10 Cummins 3935171 gaskets.

These prices compare to Cummins standard bolts at $7. ++ each! You are getting a good deal! I did not come out well monetarily when I figured out all the time spent on the phone, packaging, shipping, etc. It was a great chance to visit with many of you who ordered, I enjoyed that a lot. However, it doesn't help my productivity ;-)

Thanks to all, and I hope those of you needing banjo bolts will give Geno's a call.

Hey, Ray, how 'bout autographing my bolts when you ship 'em. :) I may not even put 'em on the new truck since the genuine Ray's banjo bolts are sure to become collectors' items now! ;) :D
