I adjusted my hi-idle screw a while back to approx. 3000 rpm in neutral but would like to go about 200 rpm more. If i adjust a little more are there other adjustments that have to be made like throttle cable or auto trans. cable? What is max. rpm that one should make with this adjustment?

I'll try to be short and to the point.

Take the screw off the pump or back it out so far that it's no longer serving any purpose.

Bend the fuel supply line down out of the way of the throttle lever.

Cut/grind away the pivot just behind the injection pump. The throttle cable and what not fasten to. This arm stops the travel of the pumps throttle rod. Remove the arm or the part of the bracket it hits at WOT.

Remove the truck's go peddle and bend it up a bit to prevent bottoming out on the floor mat/carpet etc. etc.

You can run say 3400 rpm with out problems. It aint like your gonna hold it there for long anyhow. This will be a safe limit with out doing any further engine mods. You wanna go faster, you'll have to mod the pump a bit and git some valve springs.

Also, check and adjust your valves. Keep them snug.

You'll find that your EGT's will go out of control... . but you asked... ...

My engine has yet to blow @ 3600 rpm's

It depends on how much you adjust it out. If you take it all the way to the point you have full throw on the throttle shaft you will most likely have to adjust the throttle rod, kick down cable, and the TPS. It should allow you to run up to 3000-3200 rpm and overide the governor spring. This will vary depending on the pump, injectors, and fuel settings.

Maybe i could go just a little bit further on the hi-idle screw without getting too involved. I noticed i still have about 3/16 of an inch before the throttle arm hits the fuel line when holding it wide open. Any little bit i go should bring up my de-fuel rpm,s a little shouldn,t it?

That's what I did to bring mine up a tad. ;) I din't have to bend or grind anything. But I'm only at about 2900.
