Quadzilla xzt+

With the quad you can get an update that will allow you to set a 1200 rpm idle until it warms up to 140F or even 180F and there are many options to kick it out of the high idle mode.

I had the same problem with my dealership as you guys. I actually came in with the TSB number and after they looked it up, they tried to talk me out of it. I finally convinced them to do it and it didn't work first time. When I went back to tell them they had to "turn it on", they thought I was nuts, but in the end, I was right. Whatever they did, it worked to second time. The info I was getting from the TDR was more accurate than what the dealer had. They tried to use that "don't believe everything you read on the internet" excuse, but in this case it was right.

I had this flash done before I had my Smarty, so I couldn't tell you if the Smarty has it or not. I was told it does, but there was no way for me to tell since I already had the high idle in there.

It does have it for sure, works on my truck (-:

I have a vid in my signature.

Has anyone had a dealer flash their computer to enable the high idle? I am wanting to get it done and wondering about how much a dealer would charge to do this? Or if anyone in the Nashville area with a Smarty that would work on a 99 would be willing to help me out it sounds like that would work too and I'd be willing to give someone a little bit for letting me use it.

Agreed. My dealer in fact didn't get it right the first time. I had to go back a second time. They thought I didn't know what I was talking about, but thanks to the info from the TDR, I knew more than they did.
