i just got fass put in need to know is that at idle have 13 psi and half throttle it goes down to 10 psi is this right when i ordered my fass i was told by dealer that it is 16 psi at idle and goes down a little bit so whats up

The Fass has the filters "Fuel air seperator system".



The pump alone is called the HPFP "High performance fuel pump".



Just a FYI.



Don't confuse them as This can really mess you up while troubleshooting as they can be set different.

RAMMAN-MN, the 95 and the 150 are different pumps.

I had the exact same problem this weekend when I did my install, I had an air bubble in my guage/isolator hose. I blead it out and now have 14. 5 idle and 12. 5 WOT towing Heavy, can't even pull it down lower! Check your guage again. by the way what filters came your yours?

Im going to go with FASS 95/150... ... the pressure you are seeing is about right. 13 PSI for the 95 series with the 150 GPH pump is normal. AND depending on your gauge operation (Margin of error), a 1. 5-2 PSI drop is normal. BUT seeing 10 wouldn't really bother me that much.



You dealer must have been getting confused with the HPFP's. These are set up for 16-18 PSI. The 150 Series kits are 13-15 PSI on average.

This is my theory from talking to VP remanufactures... ... and above what i told you is what we set our pumps up to depending on what you have.



Anything below 5 PSI is going to be harmful to your VP.



5-10 PSI... . you need to figure out why its so low on pressure. Restriction, gauge issue, pump problem. Basically a wake up call... ... .



10-12 PSI..... low side of good. This will not hurt you one bit. (My truck runs 11 WOT and 13-14 PSI idle depending on the outside temp)



12-15... ... Perfect pressure.



15-20..... high side of good.



20-25..... little high... . but will work.



25+..... i wouldn't do it. Its been shown on the dyno that higher inlet pressures don’t help power... . so i like to try to keep things below 20 personally.



When you ask people about pressure and VP-44's... . its 6 one way and half a dozen the other.



BUT i can tell you this... . you are not going to hurt you pump where you are at.
